Several years ago, I joined the "Meissen Taiwan Club" and became a member for many years. Every year, I enjoy complimentary membership gifts and privileges when purchasing Meissen porcelain. The Taiwan Meissen distributor, Guoyu Lifestyle Company, always offers various honors and discounts. Furthermore, I had the privilege of meeting Master Christian Schoppler, the "German Painted National Treasure" of Meissen, at the annual members' meeting.

我曾經於幾年前參加「台灣麥森之友俱樂部(Meissen Taiwan Club)」，多年成為會員，每年享有免費的會員好禮，購買Meissen瓷器時，台灣Meissen代理公司~國裕生活公司均會給予各項尊榮與優惠，並且有幸在年度會員大會中與Meissen「德國彩繪國寶」夏普樂(Christian Schoppler)大師相見歡。

Master Schoppler is the Chief Artistic Director of Meissen porcelain, possessing over 40 years of painting expertise. He inherits Meissen's traditional artistic style, and each new creation of his is truly remarkable. At the venue of the Taiwan Meissen Club, there was a particularly stunning hexagonal vase depicting the enchanting beauty of the Venetian waterways. In European culture, hexagons symbolize "health and happiness." Additionally, there were many precious masterpieces by Master Schoppler, each of them exquisite works of art.

夏普樂大師是麥森瓷器的首席藝術總監，擁有超過40年的繪畫功力，他傳承了麥森的傳統藝術風格，每件新作問世都令人讚嘆不已。在台灣麥森俱樂部會場中，特別一只展現水都威尼斯綺麗夢幻的六角花瓶，在歐洲文化中，六角形象徵著「健康及幸福」，另外還有許多夏普樂大師的珍貴佳作，每件都是精品美物。

Christian Schoppler (1947-2017)

Master Schoppler (1947-2017) was born in Frankenberg, Saxony, Germany. He joined the Meissen porcelain factory in 1963 and had over 40 years of painting experience. Master Schoppler excelled in various painting styles, including decorative painting with floral motifs, naturalistic floral painting, Indian-style painting, Venetian commedia dell'arte painting, and Herold painting. His works are highly esteemed worldwide, truly deserving of the title "German Painted National Treasure" of Meissen.

夏普樂大師(1947~2017)在德國薩克森的法蘭肯堡(Frankenburg)出生。1963年進入麥森瓷器廠，擁有40多年的繪畫功力，大師無論在裝飾畫派花卉、自然畫派花卉、印度畫風、威尼斯喜劇演員畫風、海洛特畫風等，都有極高的造詣，其作品備受全世界推崇，Meissen「德國彩繪國寶」的名聲當之無愧。

The "Meissen B-form" refers to the external design of a coffee pot set during Ernst August Leuteritz's tenure as head of the decorative department at the Meissen Porzellan-Manufaktur (Royal Saxon Porcelain Manufactory). He served as the factory director from 1849 to 1886. Leuteritz created this magnificent coffee pot set form, later dubbed the "B-Form," characterized by the incredible use of 23K gold relief in a matte gold finish. The design of the Meissen B-form reflects the eclecticism of the era. In art history, this period falls in the 1840s and 1890s, where porcelain designs amalgamated elements from various styles: Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Rococo, and Baroque.

Leuteritz created the "Meissen B-form" between 1844 and 1855, characterized by typical features of historicism. This style is renowned for its liberal references to the past, with elements mainly drawn from the Renaissance, Baroque, or Rococo periods, some of which are amalgamated together. These lavish ceramics are typically adorned all over and embellished with gold, catering to the new needs of the bourgeoisie: wealth. The choice of a name defining something beautiful yet practical for this era: the letter "B" actually stands for the identification number on the original mold.

The distinctive feature of "Meissen B-form" porcelain is the prominent convex relief in the center of the product. This form vividly reproduces the sumptuous style of the Renaissance. The spout of the teapot is adorned with stylized heads of fairy-tale creatures. The relief is covered with a matte and glossy gold finish, hand-applied three times on the unglazed surface of the porcelain, and fired three times at a temperature of 800 degrees Celsius. If properly maintained, patterns applied in this manner will not wear or fade over time.

The "Cobalt Blue B-form Floral Cup and Saucer Set" depicts the natural beauty of blooming flowers with special matte gold-painted floral motifs, drawing inspiration from European floral art paintings. Additionally, it features hand-painted decorations inspired by "Indian Floral Painting" dating back to the 1830s, presenting an atmosphere and charm reminiscent of a "flourishing and splendid" garden.

「寶藍色B-form繽紛花卉杯盤組」以特殊的霧面金色花卉圖案描繪盛開花朵的自然美景，從歐洲花卉藝術繪畫中汲取靈感。此外，其手繪裝飾的靈感來自1830年代的“印度花卉繪畫”，呈現出令人想起“繁茂燦爛”花園的氛圍和魅力。

In modern times, a Vide-poche is a small container, shaped like a dish, tray, platter, tray, receptacle, or bowl, where we place various daily-use trinkets, items overflowing from pockets, or from handbags, purses, or wallets. These can be keys, coins, subway tokens, public transportation tickets, metro cards, and so on. Typically, a Vide-poche is placed on a shelf near the front door or on a bedside table. Upon returning home, people often need to empty their pockets filled with various items collected throughout the day.

Europe conducted in-depth research into Eastern porcelain, leading to extensive emulation and replication of its painting techniques, themes, and color schemes. Meissen, in its early days, also pursued contemporary trends. The dragon itself embodies qualities of strength, wisdom, the spirit of change, the natural cadence, and emerging ideas. Porcelain during the Enlightenment era of 18th-century Europe symbolized the wealth and status of royal and aristocratic elites, with the origins of European porcelain closely tied to Meissen porcelain from Germany. Meissen porcelain introduced the "Red Dragon" pattern in 1730, during the reign of Augustus, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland. It marked the first use of the "Dragon in Flight" motif on banquet tableware, and this pattern remained exclusive to the Saxon royal family until 1918.

Typically, a pearl is depicted around the dragon, which appears as a radiant sphere, either being swallowed or emitted from the dragon's mouth. The Chinese dragons of the Qing Dynasty exuded an air of elegance and grandeur. The depicted dragon motif in underglaze blue and red clouds on this plate is laden with symbolism, representing mythology, royalty, nobility, and power.

清代的中國龍更是雍容華貴，上面這個青花釉上紅雲龍紋盤更是滿神話、皇室、貴族、以及力量的象徵。
