Wedgwood Jasperware:
Josiah Wedgwood, the founder of Wedgwood, was not only an outstanding
potter and artist, but also a scientist full of experimental spirit. In
1774, after thousands of experiments and research and development,
Josiah Wedgwood finally developed the material that Wedgwood is proud
of, a semi-precious stone material - Jasperware. The name of Jasperware
is also directly derived from its main ingredient, emerald. Today,
Jasper is still Wedgwood's unique secret ingredient. The patterns of its
jasper reliefs are mainly based on Greek and Roman mythology. Whether it
is basic or complex patterns, it still inherits the ancient production
methods. Each piece is handmade by professionally trained craftsmen.
Jasperware is different from ordinary porcelain products. It has unique
collection value and has long become a key treasure in museums around
the world.
